After four years of pounding useless technical shit into my head and still
having industry-types call the pdp-1 thor  system "research" i am in  need
of sustenance. If there is a  project which could/would use my  experience
in a mutually interesting way could i get a "unofficial sabbatical"  here?

I'd  consider   swapping   hacking    ..whatever..    (even   yuck    barf
administration!)  for a chance to catch up on what's gone on since 1976.

Ruth's teaching at Santa Clara next year and my book royalities have  made
me a millionaire, so money isn't a big problem.
